Dunnett (11923-2001) was a Scottish novelist, painter and sculptress. She is best known for her "Lymond Chronicles", a series of six novels set in 16th century Scotland. "The House of Niccolo", also historical fiction, contains eight novels, and is a prequel to the "Lymond Chronicles".
